DESCRIPTION OF CLINICAL PRACTICE

I offer a compassionate, safe space in which you can heal early wounds, learn to support yourself with self-acceptance, connect with inner resources, and open to new possibilities.
I draw on years of experience and a broad background including EMDR; The Work of Byron Katie; dream work; Jungian and cognitive therapy approaches; and my vipassana practice and mindfulness.
Issues I work with include: stress, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, trauma, loss, spirituality, transitions, and relationships.

VIPASSANA/MEDITATION BACKGROUND

Daily sitting practice, and a long-term meditation background; retreats at Spirit Rock, IMS, The Forest Refuge Nyingma Institute; and staff at a Buddhist/Christian contemplative center in the early 1970s.

RELEVANT CLINICAL TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

I have been practicing psychotherapy and leading dreamwork groups for over twenty-five years, and am author of Lucid Waking: Using Dreamwork Principles to Transform Your Waking Life. Professional training has included ongoing advanced EMDR training; Gottman couples training; and spiritual direction at Mercy Center.

I am also a certified facilitator of The Work of Byron Katie described by Eckhart Tolle as "a razor-sharp sword" that cuts through the thoughts and stories that create suffering "and enables you to know for yourself the timeless essence of your being." I offer groups, workshops, and individual facilitation (including phone).

Please feel welcome to call with any questions, or if you would like to explore the possibility of working together.
