Description of Clinical Practice
Therapy can be a safe, supportive place to help you find more happiness and well being in your life. In therapy I help people with many issues, including, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, growing up in a dysfunctional family, childhood abuse, self-judgment, and doubt.
I help people learn how to change their behavior, work through difficult emotions, and heal the beliefs and obstacles that inhibit living a more fulfilling life. Gently, working together, we unravel stuck places of the heart, mind, and body. As a result, clients improve their relationship with others and, most importantly, deepen their connection to themselves.
I often employ a mindfulness approach to therapy where we may pay attention to your experience including your body, thoughts, emotions, and memories. Cutting edge research shows that by using mindfulness we can release old emotional patterns and create new healthy neural pathways.
I use many body centered mindfulness-based therapies to heal wounds, resolve trauma stored in the body and replace dysfunctional core beliefs with life affirming ones. These methods restore the regulation of the nervous system and the bodys ability to relax.
My goal is to create a compassionate space that will welcome your healing.
